Former religious Ruth Hannah Oakley has written the book entitled “Holy Nudge, Holy Fire” – Seeing God at Work in Our Lives. 
    She attended Providence College in Rhode Island and the University of Southern Maine earning degrees in Theology and Business and after teaching in southern California,  she earned a  graduate degree in Theology/Spirituality. 
    In discerning her vocation, Ruth  spent thirteen years with a religious congregation in Maine and eventually worked for the Catholic Diocese of Portland Maine. She retired in 2016 and remains an active  member of her parish. 
    She is a published author with articles appearing in Catechist, Church World and Religion Teachers Journal.
