Welcome to Christ the Divine Mercy Parish located at the foot of Mount Katahdin, the tallest peak in the beautiful State of Maine.  We invite you to explore our website and also invite you to share in the Good News of our Lord and Savior by visiting us and attending one of our services.

The Month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows

The month of September is dedicated to the Our Lady of Sorrows. The 7 Sorrows of The Blessed Virgin Mary, which are all based on the scripture, remind us of the role of Mary in the salvation history. Though the practice of praying the Seven Sorrows of Mary dates back to the thirteenth century, there has been a resurgence of this devotion due to the apparition of Our Lady of Kibeho that took place in the 1980’s in Rwanda. It was there that Our Lady urged people to pray the Seven Sorrows. The Seven Sorrows are:
1. The Prophecy of Simeon, 2. The Flight Into Egypt, 3. The Three Day Loss in the Temple, 4. The Carrying of the Cross, 5. The Crucifixion of Jesus, 6. Jesus Taken Down From The Cross, and 7. Jesus Laid in the Tomb
The Divine Mercy Message

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that God loves us – all of us. And, He wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy.

Mass Cancellations
If the weather or road conditions are not good, we encourage everyone to stay safe and do not travel if it may endanger people's health. If Mass is cancelled due to the weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen reasons, we will post the cancellation on the local television stations.
Attention Offertory Envelope Users
If you would like an accounting of your church offerings for next year's tax return, you need to use envelopes (or WeShare). We do not keep track of other forms of giving. If you would like to pick up your Budget Envelopes, they are now available at the Gift store before or after mass. If that is not convenient, you may call Sandra Willard at 723-5033and she will arrange a time for you to pick them up. If you are not using envelopes, please let the office know. This helps us when we reorder for the following year. Thank you.
Receiving Communion
It is encouraged for you to receive Communion in the hand. However, if you wish to receive the Holy Eucharist on the tongue, please go to Father Dominic's section and go to the end of the line to do so. Thank you.
Booking of Halls
If you would like to hold an event at either St. Peter’s Parish Center or St. Martin of Tours Parish Hall, you must contact the office at 746-3333 before planning your event. We will let you know if either location is available. Thank you.
First friday devotion

First Friday Devotion is held the 1st Friday of every month in the Chapel of Holy Innocence at St. Martin's from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Confessions will be available during this time. This will be followed by the MASS at 4:00 p.m. All are invited to attend this beautiful time of reflection and prayer
